Traction distribution battery — the DC heart of railway electrification
Every traction substation feeding the 25 kV wire runs its protection, controls and breakers on a DC battery bank — the same unforgiving duty as a grid substation, wearing a railway uniform. Microtex serves it with IS 1651-class flooded tubular banks and documentation built for railway electrification tenders.
Specify as you would any substation bank — DC voltage window, duty cycle, autonomy, ambient — per our substation guide; the cells come from the 2V flooded and NDP ranges, sized to the TSS load list. Electrification EPCs and zonal railways get clause-wise compliance with the quotation.
Do you work with electrification EPC contractors?
Yes — TSS packages typically arrive through EPCs, and our documentation is built for onward submission: GTP, drawings, type-test references and FAT protocols in one pack.
