What these registrations cover

Class 9 in the battery trade covers the products and their anatomy: lead-acid batteries of every construction — tubular, flat plate, VRLA, gel, OPzS, OPzV, traction, stationary, starter — together with separators, gauntlet (PT) bags, plates, vent plugs, cell covers, connectors, chargers, and parts and components thereof. The MICROTEX mark is additionally registered in Class 35 in India. Within these registrations, the right to put these names — or anything confusingly similar to them, in any script — on such goods belongs to one company.

How we protect them

Quietly, professionally, and every time. These marks are under professional watch in India and abroad. Applications that come too close are opposed as a matter of policy, not of mood; registrations obtained in bad faith are challenged. Several such proceedings are in progress as this page is published, and one recent opposition ended with the lookalike application abandoned rather than defended. None of this is aggression — it is the duty of care owed to every customer who trusts the name on the nameplate: a battery carrying these marks was built in our plant, by our people, to our standards.

Distributors, panel builders, consultants and the press are welcome to refer to our marks in text exactly as written — MICROTEX, LIMITLESS, ETERNIA, CADDY, SeaStarter, INTELLI BATT — without alteration, abbreviation or translation, with the ® symbol where the mark is registered in the reader’s jurisdiction. Any use beyond fair reference — on products, packaging, domain names, company names or advertising — needs our written permission first. Ask; we answer quickly.

Fifty-seven years of goodwill lives in these names. We intend to hand them on intact.
