/ CAREERS · BENGALURU

Build things that keep mines, grids and railways running.

Microtex is a Bengaluru manufacturer with an unusual property: our products matter. The batteries built here start locomotives, hold substations through blackouts and power machines under mines — engineering with consequences, since 1969. If that sounds better than optimising advertisements, read on.

Who does well here

People who care. Our CTO’s rule about the factory floor is house doctrine: there is no such thing as a stupid operator — only people who care and people who don’t. Engineers who want their work tested by physics rather than opinions; production people who take pride in a straight weld and a clean record; sales engineers who would rather lose an order than oversell a battery. Freshers with curiosity and veterans with standards are both welcome.

Plain answers

Where would I work?

Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru — plant, laboratory and offices on one campus, at 42, 2nd Main, 2nd Phase.

Is battery manufacturing safe to work in?

Run properly, yes — and running it properly is a discipline we document, from hygiene practice to health surveillance. Ask about it in your interview; you should ask every lead-industry employer the same question, and judge them by the specificity of the answer.

What will I actually learn?

Electrochemistry you can hold in your hand, manufacturing from alloy to finished battery under one roof, and the documentation habits of nuclear, railway and mining customers. People who leave here are better engineers than when they arrived — most choose not to leave.

Do work that would be missed if it stopped.
